- Uncheck the Use User Account Control (UAC)
- Click OK
- Boot Selective Startup. To do this:
- Press Windows + R
- Enter msconfig
- Click OK
- Choose Servicestab
- Tick Hide all Microsoft Servicescheckbox
- Click Disable All
- Choose Startup tab
- Click Disable All
- Click OK
- Restart PC
- Right-click exe
- Choose Run as Administrator

- Check the location of the setup.exe file
- Make sure it is located in Sage 50’s install directory

Step 1: Uninstall
- Shut down Sage 50
- Press Windows + R
- Type Control Panelin the text box
- Click OK
- ChoosePrograms & Features
- Uninstall any Pervasive version listed there
- Close Control panel
- Press Windows + R
- Enter“C:\”
- Click OK
- If you find pvswand pvswarch folders, delete them
- File names like PSQL_v##_Install.logshould be deleted. The ## is the version number in this case
- Browse to C:\Windows
- Delete log
- Go to C:\ProgramData
- Rename Pervasive Software folder and make it OldPervasive Software
- Browse to C:\Program Filesor C:\Program Files (x86)
- Rename Pervasive Software folder and make it OldPervasive Software
- Browse to C:\Program Files\Common Files or C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files
- Rename Pervasive Software Sharedand make it OldPervasive Software Shared
- Exit from the window/windows opened
- Press Windows + R
- Enter regedit
- Press OK
- Right-click on Computer
- Choose Export
- Save the Registry backup
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Softwareon the left side
- You will find Pervasive software andPEYX489ZK
- Delete them
- If you have 64-bit systems, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node
- You will find Pervasive software andPEYX489ZK
- Delete them
- Close the Registry Editor
Step 2: Reinstall
- Go to the installation folder i.e. C:\Sage\Sage50_[version]
- Open PervasiveMin folder
- Run msi
- Click Next
- Tick the license agreement for acceptance
- Click Next
- Choose Run as a service
- Click Next
- Click Complete
- Click Next
- Choose Installfor reinstallation
- Click Finishonce the process completes
- Check if the installation is properly done
